Everyday Essential Oils

Hey! So I have had many questions about the essential oils I use so I have decided to just make a blog post about it and explain what my family and I use everyday!

Let me start off by saying that I started using Young Living Essential Oils in July, and I was very skeptical to say the least, but while we were living in Austin at the time and I New a lot of people who used them all the time and swore by them, so I said why the heck not! I went online and ordered the starter pack  which includes a lot of the oils I use everyday, and it also came with a certain Oil they are giving away that month. When I first got everything I was like um ok this is odd, but I totally jumped in with both feet and tried to learn as much as I could about every Oil I received.

I started off just diffusing different blends during different times of the day which made our tiny apartment smell amazing, I would be lying if I said omg I LOVE every Oils smell, because I didn’t and still do not, but when you pair them with other oils they make a great scent!

To date I have made AND use almost everyday of not everyday:

  • Theives Household cleaner
  • Spray for your sheets and towels
  • Muscle Rub
  • Antiaging face lotion
  • Chest rub for coughs and congestion
  • Roller for sleeping better
  • Roller for when you get overwhelmed or stressed out (my favorite)
  • Suppressant for hunger

I am not a dr or expert on anything medical so this is what is working for my family and what we use!

Theives Houshold Cleaner

  • 17drop Theives essential oil
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups of water

Mix in a glass spray bottle and boom it’s done and non toxic!

Linen Spray

  • 30 drops lemon Essential oil
  • 30 drops lavender essential oil
  • 3 oz vodka
  • 1.5 cups distilled water

Mix it all into a glass spray bottle!

Muscle Rub (my husband and dad swear by this)

  • 6 drop frankincense
  • 6 drops Panway
  • 6 drops peppermint
  • 6 drops copaiba
  • 6 drops vetiver
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

Mix in a glass jar and use whenever you need it!

Anti aging face lotion ( I use every morning and night and so does my mom!)

  • 1/4 cup raw shea butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 10 drops frankincense
  • 7 drops lavender

Melt shea butter and coconut oil together then add frankincense and lavender. Store in a glass jar.

Chest Rub

  • 3 drops lemon
  • 3 drops RC
  • 3 drops peppermint
  • Tablespoon fractionated coconut oil

Mix in roller ball apply to chest

Sleep Better

  • 20 drops lavender
  • 7 drops vetiver

Top roller off with a carrier oil, honestly I put this on my husband , two kids and myself and we have seen a difference, of course we have crazy nights where it seems like no one wants to sleep BUT this has helped!

Stressed Out

  • 50 drops lavender
  • 35 drops valor
  • 30 drops stress away
  • 15 drops patchouli
  • 15 drops vetiver
  • 40 drops carrier oil

Mix in a glass roller and roll on when feeling stressed or overwhelmed!

Suppressant for Hunger

  • Vegetable capsul
  • 20drops grapfruit oil

So I take this every night and so does my husband and we have definitely seen a difference in not craving sugar as much and not being as hungry throughout the day!
So there it is, the list of oils we use as a family everyday. If your interested in knowing more you can email @ or get ahold of me on instagram or facebook! Or if you are already wanting to try them out go to

Getting back to me!!!

Hey there! So life has been crazy lately, we sold our house, moved into a tiny apartment, building our home, putting our son into preschool and trying to figure out this whole parenting thing is a lot and I hate to say this but I have not been my healthiest self!

I did loose weight a couple months ago and  have kept it off but I didn’t keep going which was a horrible mistake but life happens right? So my goal is to loose 32 lbs bc it will be a weight I have been at AND I can still enjoy life! I honestly never thought I would get to a point where I was so annoyed with myself for not loosing weight but man that baby weight is hard to loose plus I have a HUGE sweet tooth!

So this blog is taking a turn and is going to follow my journey through the hangriness and successful times! I feel like blogging this will keep me accountable. I want to still enjoy life and if I want a cookie I will have a cookie if not pretty sure I would NOT be a person my family would want to be around!

I am going to do this the healthy good old fashion way with working out and clean eating. I do not want any shakes, wraps, pills, or crazy quick fixes. I want to get back to me so I can be the best momma I can be both mentally and physically for my kids and show them that clean eating and working out is a normal thing!

I hope you take this journey with me, I apologize in advance for my hangriness!

Taco Tuesday….

Over the weekend my husband smoked a huge brisket so we have a ton of brisket I need to use up so for Taco Tuesday I made Brisket tacos!

Since I already had brisket I wrapped half of the brisket in foil with a little water and heated it in the over at 250 till hot! While that was warming up I made my homemade chimichurri sauce that is definitely a family favorite around here!

Chimichurri Sauce

  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • Enough olive oil to make it the texture u want
  • Handful scallons
  • Salt/pepper to taste

We love this stuff and eat it on everything!

I like to let this stuff set for a bit at least 30min!

Then I toast up some corn tortillas then build my tacos!

Hope you guys enjoy!!!

Friday Favorites…..

Hey guys! We made it, finally Friday!! Was it me or was this week super slow?!? Anywho I have dedicated Friday’s On the blog to some of my favorite things, so I thought why not share my favorite styling products that I found to help me fight this Texas humidity!

When I first get out of the shower I brush my hair with a wet brush, you guys this brush hands down is a miracle especially for my type of hair which is curly and tangles very easily , I found mine at target that place has everything!

The first product I use is Matrix Biolage Advanced the Keratinedose, this smells amazing! I spray some in my hands rub together and distribute all over working from the ends to my roots.

The second and third product I use together I first put a nickel size dot of the Kenra Perfect Blow out light styling cream in my hand then I put a little bit of the Biosilk on top, rub together and working from my ends up distribute all over! That’s it! Then I just blow dry and use my wand!

Since using these products for over a month now I have had no frize and the only reason I tie my hair up is because it’s freaking hot! I found all my products at ulta!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!

What Works for Us Wednesday…

So when I was trying to think of a theme for my Wednesday post on the blog I figured that one thing I could share are tips or ticks that work for our family to make our lives run a little bit smoother!so let’s get to it!

These my friends is one thing I make a big batch of that is breakfast burritos! The wonderful thing about burritos is you can pretty much stuff it full of whatever you want, they freeze beautifully and when you warm them up its like you just made it also much healthier AND cheaper then running threw the drive thru!
These are a family favorite, they are great for my husband because he leaves very early in the morning for work and he grabs a couple of these and he is out the door! All you do is unwrap it and wrap it in a damp paper towel and microwave it for a min or two! Also you can use any meat I am using ground deer because it is what we have, very cheap, lean, we eat what we kill, and we have a lot of it!

Deer Breakfast Burritos

  • 1 pound ground deer
  • Onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 7 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Old bay seasoning
  • Tortillas I used flour and wheat

First thing I did was brown the meat with the seasonings, once it was almost done I dumped in the peppers and onions

I will say i can make ground deer taste just like ground beef and it’s not greasy, nothing grosses me out more then having to drain grease from food!

Next I mixed my  eggs with a little bit of milk and old bay seasoning, whisked it and dumped it in the meat mixture and cooked till they were done

Next your ready to assemble! My family likes cheese and salsa on top so that’s what I do

I prefer working with the flour ones because the whole wheat ones crack, I know I know they are so much better for you but I don’t care. I ran out of flour fajita size tortillas when I was almost done so I finished up with the whole wheat burrito size!
I wrapped each burrito in plastic wrap, I freaking hate plastic wrap, I’m always having to use way more because I’m always fighting it am I the only one?!? As you can see I still use it, just buy it in bulk at SAMS I haven’t had to buy plastic wrap in 4 years 😳 ! This mixture produced 11 small burritos and 6 large burritos!
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Taco Tuesday!!!

I LOVE street tacos , so it would only be fitting that on Tuesday I dedicate my blog to trying new street taco recipies! I found a recipie on
I used her taco seasoning recipe which is amazing !

Above is a half teaspoon each of; smoked paprika, garlic powder, chipotle chile powder, onion powder, chile powder, salt pepper and cumin! I rubbed this all over one large chicken breast put it in the crockpot with two cups water and 2 chicken bouilon cubes because I think they add more flavor!
I put this on low and let it go all day! I love the crockpot, there is nothing better then after a long day knowing supper is already done!
When the chicken was done shred it

You guys this is one chicken breast it was big and we had leftover!
Then I chopped up the veggies

Toasted my corn tortillas on the stove for a bit and assembled!

They were amazing and of course you have to have a margarita to wash it all down!!! Happy Taco Tuesday!!!

Makeup Monday: My favorite nudes/pinks!

Recently I have realized I have a nude lipstick problem and should go to nude lipstick anonymous if there was such a thing! So today I am rounding up my all time favorite nude/light pick lipsticks!

First up is beautiful nude YSL Rouge Pur Couture 10. I love this color but I don’t love the price point, but did it stop me from buying it? Obviously not, I do wish though it stayed on longer

Another YSL this one is more pink and I love it Rouge Volupte #1. Once again I don’t like how expensive it is and it definitely does not stay on long at all! I was honestly disappointed after buying these for the price I pry would never buy another one just because it comes off so fast.

This pink surprised me! It was a lot brighter than I thought it would be, but I love it and it smells really good too! Two Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick in melted peony Stays on really well and they have a wide range of colors! I will definitely buy more!

My next three favorite lipsticks literally stay on ALL day and you can kiss your babies, eat and drink all you want and it literally does not budge, so much so you have To remove it with their remover but my clarisonic also removes it! I got one color loved it and had to buy two more! Top color is First Love, middle is Bombshell, and the last is Army Pink! If you want to try Lipsense find my good friend Cristina Hamilton and she will be able to help you with anything lipsense related, she is my go to gal on buying this stuff and will show you lots of examples of what the color looks like on different people!

Next is Two Faced lipstick in Nude Beach, I have had this color of a couple years or maybe just a year anywho it’s beautiful and paired with a nude liners it’s one of my favorite pink nudes! Also this is very moisturizing and that helps because a lot of products tend to dry my lips out!

I have bought this color for the past 5 years, it’s a staple in the bag! NARS lip gloss in Turkish Delight it is the best light pink lip gloss and why I buy it multiple times a year!

This was a lipstick I purchased a while ago and didn’t swatch it and I’m so glad I did! NARS lipstick in Roman Holiday is so pretty and you can go really light with it or later it for a more pink look I love it and looks good everyone!

This is my all time favorite nude! Colour Pop liquid lipstick in Midi. Honestly I wear this almost everyday and it stays on for a long time! I only paid like 5 dollars for this and I will definitely be buying more!

The last two on my list are Rimmel London Kate collection in #42 and #45! These two are great colors and stay on longer than a lot of my high end lipsticks and a fraction of the price you can’t beat that!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post of Makeup Monday! Shout out to Erin for coming up with the name! Thanks girl! If you Like this post then share it!
